????I use this on the sides of expensive rifles, where the brass hits when ejecting. The cerakote or painted finish chips and flakes when hit with spent brass. This provides good protection on gun finishes of all types to avoid the brass hitting the receiver or brass deflector. I use 2 to 3 layers on top of each other for good protection against dings. It peels right off after use and it keeps my used rifles looks like brand new finishes.I use this on the leading edge of an airplanes wing. It's great at protecting the painted surface. Most importantly, it's removable and easily replaceable.I've looked for this tape a long time. I use it on my truck and on my bikes in places where the paint is scratch or corrosion prone. It is limited in its use where the tape must conform to variations in surface height and around curves. Some of this problem can be at least partially addressed with a heat gun. The tape lasts a long time as I applied some of this tape over 10 years ago but I forgot what the tape is called and couldn't find it again. During that time the tape has continued to adhere to the surface and it hasn't yellowed. Even today, after all that time, you really have to look for the tape to see it.The tape is OK but the release liner is complete garbage. It peeled off in many places and I had to scrape it off of the adhesive side of the tape which doesn't help adhesion and the little paper bits got everywhere. If you get it wet at all it completely turns to mush and is even harder to remove. This kind of tape is normally put on with a slip agent like water and a drop of baby shampoo or at least that is how the automotive stuff is put on. I also had to cut a piece out because of a bloody mosquito embedded in it from the factory! There was a smashed mosquito and a large smear of blood about half way down the roll. That was gross and kept me from applying it in a single strip which was the point of buying a roll. I applied it to a Bic SUP board and wanted the narrow tape due to the seam in the board. Next time I will just get 4" SUP tape and cut it myself. Cutting 4" wide tape into a 1" wide strips 6 feet long will be a ton faster and easier than dealing with the release liner on this. I won't be buying this again for sure and if I wasn't taking the board out the next day I would have tossed it in the trash and ordered something else but there was no time to get something else. If they fixed the release liner and eliminated the bio waste it would be at least 4 stars.Used this tape as rail tape for a stand up paddle board and as a paddle guard on the edge. Adheres great even after many surfing sessions. Also, useful to fix dings if in a surf trip or in an emergencyI’m using this on my truck to help protect the edges of the fenders due to running slightly larger tires. I was taking rock hits on the edge of the fenders and this helped protect them. Use a heat gun on low heat to soften it and help contour it as needed.My new bike did not come with any paint protector stickies but the Racers Tape gets the job done. I've put some on the chain stays and seat stays to protect it from the dreaded chain slap, clipless shoe scrapes and the eventual crash. Easy to use and clear in color. Just cut it to size and put it where you need it to protect your paint and frame or place it where your brake lines contact your paint for example. To keep your investment looking new try using some of this Racers Tape. You won't be disappointed and your bike will thank you.
