Very poor quality, must use electrical tape to keep in place.Have used friction tape in the past for pole vaulting and chainsaw grips, this friction tape is very gooey, much more so than friction tapes I've used in the past (3M, duck) also has a strong smell that is hard to ignore/fills the room quickly. Does mold over odd shapes and stick to itself well, probably watertight if applied carefully, would be good for bundling wire.First of all- hard to find except on internet. Not in big box stores or Ace hardware. I had a special application-using as a level indicator for the fuel tank on my boat after guage died. Put on a wooden dowel so i could observe fuel level. without tape fuel would evaporate on dowel before I could read. I also have several sets of flip flops where te thongs have loosened / stretched and the leather tops your foot rests on have become slick . I have used the tape to build up the pad and provide friction so my foot doesn't slip and my ankle will remain unbroken. Excellent cohesive characteristics and malleable. Layers of tape bond over each other. TAPE PROVIDERS had the best selection of widths - would definitely consider them my Go TO for future needsuse it when we rewire our trucks to seal out the moisture and road debrieCould not find old fashioned friction tape locally so bought it on Amazon. Meets expectations and much better than the plastic varieties of electrical tape pretty much taking over the market. Very pleased with purchaste.Got this to redo some wiring on my 3D printer. It sticks pretty well to itself, but not as sticky on other things. Had to retry a couple of times to get it to work like I wanted, but it did work as intended eventually. Pretty good stuff, I would probably buy it againDurable productBest tape by far, this is on par with OEM tape ford uses when their harnesses are built. Way better than tesa tape or 3m super 33. There is no comparison whatsoever.Who cares if it smells strong? Why would that even matter. People complain worse than they ever have nowadays and they have it extremely easy.
